Pensacola Police Officer Rickey Harris will retire Friday (July 30) after working 29 years at the Pensacola Police Department.

        Officer Harris, 50, was hired as a cadet October 13, 1980 and was promoted to police officer April 20, 1981.

        He has been assigned to Community Relations, TAC, as the department’s recruiting officer, and Uniform Patrol.

        A reception is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday (July 29) at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #71, 301 E. Gadsden St.
