News Releases September
Release Date: Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Pensacola Police have released a composite drawing of a man wanted for a car jacking that occurred earlier this month.

The 41-year-old female victim told police she was stopped at the intersection of Davis Highway and Jordan Street around 2:30 p.m. on January 19 when the suspect opened her car door, punched her and demanded she slide over to the passenger seat so he could drive.

The victim said she complied and he then drove her around for about 4 ½ hours before he got out at Candlewood Road and Pickett Drive, threw her keys into a yard and ran away. The victim then contacted police.

During the ride, the victim said the man stopped the car at one point and ordered her to get into the backseat. She said after he fled the vehicle she noticed he’d taken some money from her purse.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 10 and 170 pounds. He was wearing an unbuttoned blue shirt with a white tank top underneath, blue jeans and blue and white sneakers.

Anyone having information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Chad Willhite at 435 – 1981 or the Pensacola Police Department at 435 – 1900.
