Capt. Steve Johnson oversees the Administrative Technical Services Division (ATSD).

ATSD is comprised of several subsections and units. Through ATSD, policy is formed, employees are hired and trained, and records are retained.

In the Communications Section, telecommunicators and call takers are responsible for receiving calls, recording requests for service and channeling information to patrol units.

Management Information Systems (MIS) is responsible for configuration and maintenance the vast array of computers and data networks within the department.  They also maintain the City's 800Mhz radio network and police Records Management Software.

The Records Section, which maintains and manages records, is also under ATSD. This department also issues taxi and dancer permits and does fingerprinting for job applicants.
