The Pensacola Police Department's Explorer Program is designed for high school aged males and females who have an interest in law enforcement and may be interested in pursuing a career in this field.
Approximately 20 males and females currently belong to the Pensacola Police Explorer Post # 107.
Explorers meet weekly to study various laws and participate in hands-on experiences such as traffic stops, traffic accident investigations and pistol shooting.
Explorers must maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average, be in good character standing in the community and must never have been arrested for a felony or a misdemeanor domestic violence.
Advisors are Officers Sarah Barbosa, Chris Echele and Hank Wells.
