Vice and Narcotics
Lieutenant
Michael McVicker

Undercover officers assigned to this unit investigate crimes involving narcotics and vice operations such as prostitution, gambling and pornography.

They also gather and distribute intelligence information relevant to police duties. Over the past few years, two primary areas of intelligence gathering have been abortion and gang-related activities. In an effort to curb the flow of drugs into the Pensacola area, officers continue to focus on long- range investigations aimed at mid- and upper-level dealers.

Lt. Michael McVicker oversees the unit and has the additional responsibility of coordinating and initiating all forfeiture procedures.

Lt. Michael McVicker was born in Paris, France, and moved to Pensacola in 1988 after serving for six years and being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned an associates degree from Pensacola Junior College and a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Troy State University.

After being hired by the Pensacola Police Department in January 1990, he was assigned to Uniform Patrol, TAC, Criminal Investigations, SWAT, and Vice and Narcotics.

Lt. McVicker is the department's SWAT commander and also is a member of the First Judicial Circuit Law Enforcement Association, Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and Blue Lightning Task Force.

Lt. McVicker can be reached by telephone at 850.435.1840 or emailed at Mmcvicker@ci.pensacola.fl.us. The Vice and Narcotics Unit can be reached by telephone at 850.435.1841.
